Matthew Subits has dedicated the last 13 years to coaching soccer and futsal, specializing in training both high school boys and girls in futsal at Southern and Furness high schools. His expertise has been cultivated through consistent practice at Murphy Recreation Center and the Furness gymnasiums for over a decade. Beyond coaching, Subits has played a pivotal role in fostering community engagement through sports by organizing numerous youth soccer tournaments in South Philadelphia and establishing an adult futsal league. In 2012, he founded the Grow Philly Futsal Collective, a significant community project that thrived until 2023, further solidifying his impact on local sports culture.

Subits is also committed to personal and professional development in the field. He has successfully completed his grassroots training with US Soccer and is currently progressing towards obtaining his D coaching license. This demonstrates his dedication to not only advancing his own skills but also ensuring he offers the most current and effective training to his students. Additionally, Subits remains actively involved in playing soccer, participating in a weekly adult league and engaging in pick-up games whenever possible, showcasing his passion for the game both on and off the field.
