COACHING AND PLAYING EXPERIENCE:

A Philadelphia native, Coach Joe grew up playing club soccer for local area clubs. He began coaching in high school and college while attending Temple University studying Communications. Coach Joe’s team joined United Philly Soccer Club in 2018 with Joe joining the Fairmount SA coaching staff shortly after. Under his coaching, his 2006/07 Fusion Girls team made 4 state finals, with 2 state cup championships, an Eastern Regional Final appearance in 2022 with a 0-1 loss to the eventual national champions, and various tournament and region championships. Coach Joe has coached a few teams at Fairmount SA and took over as Assistant Director of Coaching in 2020 where he helped oversee player development and developing the travel program at Fairmount SA. He also established the club’s now annual soccer tournament, Fairmount FrightFest in 2021. Providing a fun, affordable 1 day tournament for teams in Philadelphia and the greater area.
